This movie was amazing, one of the best of 2008 so far. The action was great, the acting was brilliant, and the comedy and storyline kicked ass! This was an awesome movie and I recommend it to anyone who wants to have a good time. 5 stars all the way!

while I VERY MUCH enjoyed Stark and Miss Potts’ cute, love-under-your-nose relationship, I found the rest of the movie’s storylines to be rather routine. I felt Iron Man’s goal was to find that line between the kid-marketed Spider-man and the adult-marketed Batman Begins, and then stay directly on it. Stark is a billionaire that doesn’t have crazy super-powers, just amazing dedication (and money) to a rightful cause—very Batman Begins-like in its approach (of course, this could just be a similarity of comic book story, not movie—perhaps). Yet, Stark is also very colorful in costume and playful in humor—something I found close to Spider-man. In theory, I suppose this is a smart goal for the filmmakers and producers (the cross between the successful Spidey and Batman), but I feel what made Spider-man and Batman Begins so memorable was that they so perfectly executed their individual styles. Spider-man was an awesome kid-friendly, fantasy-like tale, while Batman Begins was an awesome adult-serious, reality-close story. If these two different styles were mixed, it would have taken the piss out of it.entertain me -- http://filmerthans.blogspot.com/

From Marvel Studios and Paramount Pictures comes Iron Man, an action-packed take on the tale of wealthy philanthropist Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), who develops an invulnerable robotic suit to fight the throes of evil. In addition to being filthy rich, billionaire industrialist Tony Stark is also a genius inventor. When Stark is kidnapped and forced to build a diabolical weapon, he instead uses his intelligence and ingenuity to construct an indestructible suit of armor and escape his captors. Once free, Stark discovers a deadly conspiracy that could destabilize the entire globe, and dons his powerful new suit on a mission to stop the villains and save the world. Gwyneth Paltrow co-stars as his secretary, Virginia "Pepper" Potts, while Terrence Howard fills the role of Jim "Rhodey" Rhodes, one of Stark's colleagues, whose military background leads him to help in the formation of the suit. Jon Favreau directs, with Marvel movie veterans Avi Arad and Kevin Feige producing.
